The newly opened 7000 square foot Real Estate Center is located at 3901 Padre Boulevard, just north of the big blue water tower. The building was originally the location of the Super Sub Movie Pub and later a "gentleman's" club. The site had been abandoned for years and was in serious disrepair. The extensive (and expensive!) renovation was the owners' way of improving Padre Boulevard and making a meaningful contribution to the community. Now it provides work space for 25 real estate agents, employees, and tenants.
The building was completely leased long before the renovation was completed and the owners continue to receive requests for space. Broker and co-owner Mary Phillip was shocked at the great demand. "Everyone wanted to be a part of this project and have a presence in The Real Estate Center. The need was there, we just had to find a way to make it happen. Now we wish we could have made the center even larger. We do own the lot behind the building, so expansion may be a possibility at some point in the future."
